Body Mass Index (BMI) is a medical calculation used to assess whether your weight is within a healthy range for your height. It's one of the key criteria used to determine eligibility for prescription weight-loss medications.
Eligibility Criteria

BMI ≥ 30: Generally eligible for prescription weight-loss treatment

BMI 27-29.9: May be eligible if you have weight-related health conditions (e.g., type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure)

BMI < 27: Prescription weight-loss medication is generally not recommended
